The Equipment Energy Efficiency, (E3) program is a cross jurisdictional program through which the Australian Government, states and territories and the New Zealand Government collaborate to deliver a single, integrated program on energy efficiency standards and energy labelling for equipment and appliances. The E3 plan is designed to maximise all opportunities to save energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and lower energy costs for households and businesses. The focus is broad, but many major domestic and commercial products have been identified as “High Priority.” These include Lighting, swimming pool pumps, fridges, televisions and hot water products.
